Chapter 2: Pre-proceessional
TJ going over last minute details on the processional with Eli at the door. Thanks again to willing friends, things are well in hand.
9:30 am. Time to march. The processional is led by Jukka Holopainen, best man and long-time friend of TJ's. The groom is looking a bit tense for the first time, although his best man seems more so.
Mari Deluria, ring bearer and TJ's nephew carries one half of the pair of rings that will symbolize TJ and Maisa's marriage vows to the altar where Jukka will be waiting to take them for safekeeping until they are needed.
Paolo Deluria, ring bearer and TJ's nephew follows his best friend Mari to the altar with the other half of the rings.
The ringbearers up the aisle. Many thanks to the two boys, who were well-behaved and seemed to take their job oh-so seriously!
Cassandra Deluria, TJ's niece, is adorable in her red-orange dress, her basket of petals and her delicate wings, although her headpiece has slipped out of sight, defying everyone's best efforts to keep it anchored on!
Patricia Beltran, Maisa's cousin and junior bridesmaid, promenades down the aisle with all the mien of a grown lady, not a hair out of place and her sunny bouquet of mums
displayed to best advantage. Following is Maisa's god-sister Desiree Imperial.
The female entourage moves up the aisle, Cassandra leading the way and littering it with petals.
The bridegroom waiting at the altar with a smile of anticipation on his face.
The bride and her parents pause behind the last pews. Maisa gives her parents a kiss before they preceed her down the aisle.
Maisa trailing her long white (slightly rumpled) veil during the short walk that will take her to TJ's side and bind them to a lifetime together as husband and wife.
Maisa takes TJ's hand at the altar. A small emotional moment for both of them. After this waiting, it's finally time for them to come home to each other.
